The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro is carrying out an operation to arrest criminals from other states who operate in the city. This Sunday (22), civil police officers from the 124th DP, from Saquarema, Lagos Region, and the Special Resources Coordination (Core), participated in Operation Antevéspera, against drug traffickers in Pará. According to the State Secretariat of Civil Police ( Sepol), criminals operate in the area of the municipality of Jaconé.
“The investigations lasted 3 months, and showed that the criminal group sought to install and expand drug sales points in that location,” he said in a statement.
According to Sepol, the agents were received by gunfire, which resulted in a confrontation, during the steps to execute arrest warrants and search and seizure. “Five criminals were neutralized, two men and three women. Among them is the leader of the gang, Washington Pereira Rodrigues, known as Parazinho. A civil police officer was hit without serious injuries”, informed the secretariat.
Still during the operation, the teams seized pistols with a Roni kit, radio communicators, ammunition of different calibers, traffic records and a large quantity of narcotic material.
Investigations indicated that after invading a farm in a forested region, the gang began to intimidate and terrorize the local population. “Based on intelligence information, the police started monitoring the criminals. The operation is underway and efforts are underway to capture a member of the criminal group who fled during the action,” the secretariat said in the note.
