Rio Grande do Norte registers 298 attacks in wave of violence

After 10 days of attacks, the state of Rio Grande do Norte did not register any acts of violence this Friday (24), according to the state government. This Saturday (25), partial balance of the security forces that act to combat the criminal organization points out that 187 suspects were arrested. In all, 298 attacks were recorded by the state. Most of them happened on Tuesday (14), when the acts of violence began. On that date, there were 104 attacks. In the following days, 68 (Wednesday) and 57 (16) were recorded.

43 firearms were seized, 148 explosive devices and 33 gallons of fuel were captured. According to the state of Rio Grande do Norte, money, drugs and ammunition were also seized. Theft items have been recovered. In these cases, quantities or values ​​were not disclosed.

Since March 14, actions orchestrated by criminal factions have caused terror to the population, with fires and shots against public buildings, vehicles, businesses and even homes. The actions are in retaliation for prison conditions, indicate police investigations.

The custody of prisoners is among the reasons given by criminals for the series of attacks in the state.
