Ten years ago, the Museu de Arte do Rio was inaugurated. Part of this story will be told at the exhibition. The construction of MAR and Little Africawhich will open this Friday (31).
There are more than 100 works, including photographs and videos, that recall important events in the history of the Museum, such as the protests against its construction and the symbolic embrace against its closure in 2019.
Over the years, the Museu de Arte do Rio, one of the main tourist attractions in the city, has been redesigned and created links with society. In this way, the exhibition talks about the approach with the community, initially made by Escola do Olhar, a space for integration between education and art, which works alongside the museum.
The program includes a special edition of the MAR music project, with a show by Orquestra Voadora and the participation of Serjão Loroza, in addition to the distribution of a birthday cake to the public.
In the afternoon, there will be the Rolezinho de Livros. The main catalogs and publications that have passed through the institution will be distributed free of charge.
