Rimac Seguros He informed the Superintendence of the Securities Market (SMV) the resignation of its general manager, Fernando Alfredo Ríos Sarmiento, which was accepted with an effective date today. The notification was carried out through an important fact, in compliance with article 12 of the Regulation of Acts of Importance and Reserved Information of the SMV.
The company explained that the departure of Ríos is due to the fact that the Executive will assume new challenges.
The board thanked Ríos for his management and pointed out that in the coming weeks the new general manager will be announced.
Meanwhile, the functions will be assumed on an interim way by the current executive vice president of the Seguros Company Division, Mario Potestá.
Ríos had been appointed in 2018, replacing Max Chion, the late executive director. Previously, the Executive had served as VP of people and MKTG.
Ríos’s departure marks the closure of almost seven years at the head of the company. RIMAC is currently the country’s largest insurer, with a 27.4% participation in the insurance system and a 15.9% patrimonial return at the end of June this year, figures that reflect its weight in the market.
The company is part of the Breca Group and participates in health, life, cars, general risks and pension insurance, as well as investments in clinics and private health.
