Ricardo Lombana, pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for the Otro Camino Movement, accompanied by candidates for popularly elected positions, party leaders and Colón activists, was yesterday Sunday in the townships of Cativá and Sabanitas, as part of his agenda of electoral campaign prior to the formal election of his candidacy, on Sunday, July 30.
On this tour – the second he has made in the province in less than a week -, Lombana walked through the Guayabal sector where, – guided by Andy Kelly, candidate for representative of Cativá -, he visited families and residents who did not hesitate to express their deep disappointment and weariness with the usual traditional politicians who do not solve their most pressing problems.
Despite the obvious displeasure, everyone was open to listening to the proposals of the candidate, who shared his vision and his specific proposals to generate more jobs, achieve better access to medicines and increase payments to retirees, among other important measures that can improve their quality of life, without having to disrespect anyone’s dignity by practicing clientelism.
After two and a half hours of walking, the group moved to Sabanitas, where the candidate for deputy for circuit 3-1, Dominico “Nikito” Medina, had gathered some 500 people interested in listening, live and direct, to the Proposals by Ricardo Lombana.
“The people who have come to this event have done so voluntarily and genuinely, motivated solely by their desire for Panama to be put together and for the abuse of corrupt governments that come to rob with full hands to stop. Here, neither money nor bags of food were distributed to anyone so that they are present listening to the proposals of Ricardo Lombana and the messages of the candidates for elected positions in the province for Otro Camino, that we want the best for our people, “said Medina , who took advantage of the act to make his candidacy official.
In addition to Andy Kelly and Dominico Medina, Elvin Flaco, candidate for representative of Limón, was present both at the walk and at the mass meeting; Luis Chifundo, candidate for representative of the corregimiento of Cristobal; Eduardo Bryant Braham, candidate to represent Pilon; Rafael “Guayo” Magallón, candidate for representative of Buena Vista; Masmel Agustín Rodríguez, candidate for representative of Sabanitas; and Oscar Mariscal, candidate for representative of Ciricito.
Last Tuesday afternoon, Ricardo Lombana also came to the city of Colón to greet and talk with the citizens who walk and travel daily along the central avenue and around the Cuatro Altos Shopping Center; and his next visit will be next Monday, July 24, when he will be, starting at 3:00 pm, in Altos del Lago, next to the fire station.
