In a general assessment, Bonilla, who resigned from office this week, said that the decrease in inflation and the improvement in economic growth are some of his most notable achievements.
According to the Ministry of Finance, its work was focused on “solve and resolve” the bottlenecks it encountered in the country’s finances and in maintaining fiscal and macroeconomic stability.

Among its most important achievements is the recovery of economic growth, which will close between 1.8% and 2% in 2024.and that will reach 3% in 2025.
Likewise, he highlighted that his administration was in charge of paying the country’s non-financial debt, specifically that linked to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC), which is expected to be resolved for the next government.
Bonilla also highlighted that inflation fell 814 points since March 2023 to 5.2% in November. In the cases of poor and vulnerable populations, decreased to 4.83% and 4.78% respectively.

Finally, he recalled that the real rate of the economy is currently at 455 points, because the intervention rate of the Bank of the Republic has only fallen 350 points. Therefore, he called for greater adjustment at the next Board of Directors meeting for 2024.
