The former Minister of Commerce and former director of the DIAN, Luis Carlos Reyes, referred this Thursday to the signal launched by President Gustavo Petro, who assured that his former official is “accomplice” of the genocide in Gaza for allowing companies like Glencore to continue exporting coal to Israel.

According to the president, Reyes cheated him by including exception that favored exporters in the decree of prohibition of coal export to Israel.
In an interview with 6am from Caracol Radio, Reyes warned that the statements of the Head of State “put my life at risk” and insisted that from the portfolio he handled he gave a fight against a clause that left this decree without effect.

Petro asked citizens to block mining operations
