The statement comes a week after the vote for the consultation, in which 16 million 501,137 people participated, which represents 17.7% of the total number of citizens on the nominal list.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, as well as governors and leaders of Morena, have accused the INE of being responsible for not registering a greater participation, since the consultation requires by law that at least 40% of the citizens vote in the name list.
Córdova affirmed that during the first mandate revocation consultation held in Mexico, the INE’s operating systems worked as planned before, during and after the day.
He took the opportunity to thank the poll workers, electoral assistant supervisors and trainers, INE staff and people who decided to participate.
