Train cardiopulmonary resuscitation officials
With the aim of providing more tools to act in emergency situations, the Intendencia de Cerro Largo held a training day in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (RCP) on Tuesday aimed at officials of the inspection body of Transit and the Municipal Police.
The instance was jointly organized by the areas of transit, health and events, in the understanding that workers who fulfill tasks on public roads are, many times, the first to arrive before facts that may imply a risk of life.
During the training, officials received theoretical and practical instruction on resuscitation techniques, respiratory road disobstruction maneuvers and use of basic assistance devices. The activity focused on providing specific tools personnel to respond quickly and efficiently in case of limit situations.
From the Intendance it was stressed that this type of training not only strengthens the powers of the municipal inspectors and police, but also reinforces the institutional commitment to the security and care of the community.
The transit director stressed that everyday contact with traffic accidents, mass events and emergencies on public roads makes personnel have first aid training. It was also advanced that these training will have continuity and will be extended to other municipal units.
