It is the largest lot in history in number of taxpayers and the second largest in value – about 7.2 million taxpayers will receive a total amount of $ 10 billion. The lot also includes residual refunds from previous years.
Most of the value, the tax authorities said, will go to taxpayers with reimbursement priority. The refunds are distributed as follows:
- 6,316,894 taxpayers who used the pre-named statement and/or opted simultaneously for receiving refund via Pix;
- 755,978 taxpayers without priority;
- 83,575 taxpayers from 60 to 79 years old;
- 35,315 taxpayers whose largest source of income is teaching;
- 15,988 taxpayers over 80;
- 11,298 Taxpayers with physical or mental disabilities or serious illness.

Although they have no priority by law, taxpayers who used two procedures together, pre-named and pix, have priority to receive refund this year.
The consultation can be made in the IRS Page on the internet. Just the taxpayer click on “My Income Tax” and then the “Consult Refund” button. It is also possible to consult the IRS app for tablets and smartphones.
Payment will be made on July 31, on the CPF type PIX account or Pix key informed in the income tax return. If the taxpayer is not on the list, he / she should enter the Virtual Taxpayer Care Center (e-CAC) and take the statement from the statement.
