The Federal Revenue released this Friday (22) the consultation of the third batch of refund of the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) 2022. In addition to the taxpayers who delivered the declaration by May 3, the batch also includes residual refunds of previous years.
Bank credit for 5,242,668 taxpayers will be carried out on July 29, totaling RS 6.3 billion. More than half of this amount will be paid to those who have legal priority, such as people aged 60 and over; taxpayers with any type of physical or mental disability or serious illness; and taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching.
To find out if the refund is available, the taxpayer must access the IRSclick on My Income Tax and then on Consult the Refund.
Payment
Payment of the refund is made directly to the bank account informed in the Income Tax Declaration, either directly or by indicating the PIX key.
If, for some reason, the credit is not carried out (for example, the informed account has been deactivated), the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil. In this case, the citizen may reschedule the credit of the amounts by BB Portal or calling the BB Relationship Center through the telephone numbers 4004-0001 (capital cities), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone exclusively for the hearing impaired).
“The page presents guidelines and service delivery channels, allowing a simplified consultation or a complete consultation of the status of the declaration, through the processing extract, accessed on the e-CAC. If any pending issues are identified in the declaration, the taxpayer can rectify the declaration, correcting the information that may be wrong”, explained the Federal Revenue in a note.
If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of his refund within one year, he must request it through the e-CAC Portal, available on the Federal Revenue website, accessing the Declarations and Statements menu; then in My Income Tax; and, finally, by clicking on Request refund not redeemed in the banking network.
Calendar
Initially scheduled to end on April 29, the deadline for submitting the Individual Income Tax Declaration was postponed to May 31 to reduce the effects of the covid-19 pandemic that could harm the submission, such as delay in obtaining proof. Despite the postponement, the original refund schedule was maintained, with five lots to be paid between May and September, always on the last business day of each month.
