Around 249 thousand taxpayers who fell through the cracks and settled their disputes with the tax authorities can find out if they will receive a refund this Friday (21).
Starting at 10 am, the Federal Revenue Service will release consultation on the February fine mesh batch, which also includes residual refunds from previous years.
In total, 214,310 taxpayers will receive R$494.09 million. Of this total, R$296.95 million will go to taxpayers with priority reimbursement.
Among the priority public are 138,164 taxpayers who used the pre-filled declaration and/or simultaneously chose to receive the refund via Pix.
Taxpayers aged 60 to 79 also have priority; taxpayers whose largest source of income is teaching; taxpayers with physical or mental disabilities or serious illness; and taxpayers over 80 years old.
The IRS will also pay refunds to 30,867 taxpayers without priority, who settled their accounts and left the fine mesh.
The consultation can be made at Federal Revenue page on the internet. The taxpayer simply clicks on My Income Tax and then on the Consult Refund button. It is also possible to consult the Federal Revenue app to tablets and smartphones.
Payment
Payment will be made on November 28th to the account or Pix key type CPF informed in the Income Tax declaration.
If the taxpayer is not on the list, he must enter the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) and obtain the declaration extract. If you notice a pending issue, you can send a rectifying statement and wait for the next batches of fine mesh.
If, for any reason, the refund is not deposited in the account informed in the declaration, as in the case of a deactivated account, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil.
In this case, the citizen will be able to schedule credit in any bank account in their name, for through the BB Portal or by calling the bank’s Relationship Center at 4004-0001 (capitals), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special phone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).
If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of their refund after one year, they must request the amount on the e-CAC Portal. When entering the page, the citizen must access the Declarations and Statements menu, click on My Income Tax and then in the Request Unredeemed Refund on the Banking Network field.
