Revenue opens consultation on Income Tax fine mesh batch

Around 144 thousand taxpayers who fell through the cracks and settled their disputes with the tax authorities can find out if they will receive an income tax refund. At 10 am this Monday (23), the Federal Revenue released the consultation of the December fine mesh batch, with the inclusion of around 7,400 taxpayers from Rio Grande do Sul with the right to receive it. The batch also includes residual refunds from previous years.Revenue opens consultation on Income Tax fine mesh batch

In total, 144,225 taxpayers will receive R$448.96 million. Of this total, R$290.87 million will go to taxpayers with priority reimbursement. Due to the floods in Rio Grande do Sul this year, Rio Grande do Sul taxpayers were included in the list of priorities.

In relation to the list of priorities, the majority, 64,089 taxpayers, informed the Pix key of the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) type in the Income Tax declaration or used the pre-filled declaration. Since last year, Pix key information has been given priority in receipt.

Second, there are 27,264 taxpayers between 60 years of age and 79 years of age. In third place are 7,435 taxpayers residing in Rio Grande do Sul. In fourth place are 5,997 taxpayers whose biggest source of income is teaching. The rest of the priority taxpayers are 5,617 elderly taxpayers over 80 years of age and 2,697 taxpayers with some physical or mental disability or serious illness.

The list concludes with 31,126 taxpayers who did not provide the Pix key and do not fit into any of the legal priority categories.

The consultation can be made at Federal Revenue website. The taxpayer simply clicks on “My Income Tax” and then on the “Consult Refund” button. It is also possible to consult the Federal Revenue app for tablets and smartphones.

Payment will be made on December 30th, to the account or Pix key type CPF informed in the Income Tax declaration. If the taxpayer is not on the list, he must enter the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) and obtain an extract from the declaration. If you notice a pending issue, you can send a rectifying statement and wait for the next batches of fine mesh.

If, for any reason, the refund is not deposited in the account informed in the declaration, as in the case of a deactivated account, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil. In this case, the citizen will be able to schedule credit in any bank account in their name, through the BB Portal or by calling the bank’s Relationship Center on 4004-0001 (capitals), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special phone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).

If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of their refund after one year, they must request the amount on the e-CAC Portal. When entering the page, the citizen must access the “Declarations and Statements” menu, click on “My Income Tax” and then in the “Request refund not redeemed in the banking network” field.
