Dr. Radhamés Jiménez Peña explained that Bautista apologized for his behavior in the last meeting held by the Political Directorate of the opposition organization, the week that just ended.

He insisted that the promotion of candidates for leadership positions in the Green Party is totally prohibited, and much less activism promoting presidential candidacy will be allowed or tolerated, when the organization is immersed in its Congress. “According to the government’s narrative, in the Dominican Republic we are living in wonderland. The problem is that what is said is one thing and, as a colleague in San José de Ocoa said, this government of the PRM “She is like a little announcing bus, who says a lot and does little, because what is seen in reality is that things are going very badly,” said the opposition leader.
He said that the failure of this administration is evident in all areas, and gave as an example the case of the health system that, according to him, failed, to the point that when a patient is taken to any public hospital there is no even an aspirin.
“But even the syringes are being reused in the State health centers, that is, the health system today is collapsed in the Dominican Republic, that is the reality, and the same thing happens with education.

“And apart from incompetence, how can you tell this country that it is fine when the high cost of goods and services has made it impossible for the majority of the Dominican people to have a decent life? Here, according to studies by internationally accredited organizations, a large majority of the Dominican people can barely eat once a day, and if they eat today, they do not know if they will eat tomorrow,” he added. He stressed that the prices of the family basket are unattainable for the majority of Dominicans. He said that another negative aspect of the current administration is the indiscriminate borrowing, to the point that after the tax reform project fell, they have already borrowed close to two billion dollars.
President Abinader says he must grant more resources to the Public Ministry so that it is truly independent
The former Attorney General of the Republic Radhamés Jiménez Peña urged President Luis Abinader to provide the resources that the Public Ministry needs to guarantee true independence, while at the same time dignifying the work of the prosecutors.

He insisted that prosecutors must be taken into account with the creation of the Public Ministry’s own pension system to guarantee them better living conditions and, above all, a decent retirement, because the role they play is one of the riskiest they can. have any officials.
“Because the prosecutor is the ugly duckling, he is the one who confronts, the one who persecutes, he is the one who asks for a conviction. In criminal proceedings, the accused do not look badly on the judges, because they are an impartial, benign third party, but the one who asks for 30, 25, 20 years of sentence is the fiscaland when the judges accept the requests of the Public Ministry, then those individuals become enemies of that prosecutor who asked that they be convicted,” argued Radhamés Jiménez.

In another order, the opposition leader rejected a bill promoted by senators Félix Bautista and Pedro Catrain so that the Superior Electoral Court can resolve the conflicts that arise in the elections of professional and business unions.
