The ninth edition of the Ciudad del Mar International Festival of Alternative Music will be held in the city of Cienfuegos from June 30 to July 3.
The event, held virtually in the previous two years, will return in person with the participation of established artists and other newcomers.
The group Karamba, Buena Fe, David Blanco, Wil Campa, Toques del Río, Adrián Berazaín, Mauricio Figueiral, Ernesto Blanco D’Cuba and JotaBarrioz have confirmed their attendance at this edition.
From Cienfuegos, prominent singer-songwriters such as Rolo Rivera and Nelson Valdés also join.
Sponsored by the Provincial Directorate of Culture and the Government of the territory, the Musical Recordings and Editions Company (EGREM) and its Musicuba agency, the festival will have as its main venues the Tomás Terry Theater, the Ateneo Hall, the theater’s Cafe, the EGREM Music House and the fairgrounds.
In all of them concerts will be held at night, giving back to the public the possibility of enjoying their favorite artists live.
The Ciudad del Mar International Festival of Alternative Music is also part of the proposals of the cultural events plan jointly supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism.
