The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reported that the Government continues to be deployed throughout the national territory in response to the rain emergency this winter season in the country.
In the return of his television program “Con Maduro+”, the national president instructed to quickly attend to the families that have been affected by the rains and who have lost their homes due to the floods.
Maduro referred to the case of Bolívar state, where several families lost their homes due to intense downpours that seriously affected them. “Count on the full support of the national government,” the president told the governor of the southern state, Ángel Marcano.
“I am here for permanent work with the people,” the president stressed, stating that he is receiving reports from his entire government team 24 hours a day.
He reflected on the El Niño and La Niña phenomena, which are currently occurring in combination. “The climate has gone crazy because of the damage that capitalism does in more than 100 years of resource exploitation,” he said.
Applause for the Progressive Theater Festival
The president welcomed the celebration of the International Festival of Progressive Theater, which was held in 23 states of the national territory organized by the Ministry of Culture.
The Minister of Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported that the activity took place in 59 theaters nationwide and 69 parishes, where 343 performances and 57 special events were held to give life to the International Progressive Theater Festival, which took place from 8 to June 18, 2023 in Venezuela.
The Head of State instructed that activities such as these continue to be carried out and called for mass theater activity in all educational centers in the country.
Return of “With Maduro+”
President Maduro released a new schedule for his program “Con Maduro+”, which will be broadcast from now on Mondays at 7 pm. The president explained that due to compliance with Venezuela’s strategic international agenda, the television space was absent for three consecutive Mondays.
He commented that, in the first instance, the program did not come out due to his trip to Brazil on an official visit to his counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, where he participated in the South American Summit that will achieve great advances in the region.
The following Monday, the head of state was in Turkey, invited to the inauguration of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with whom he shared his vision of the multipolar world and strengthened additional strategic ties. On that same route, he traveled to Saudi Arabia, where he also managed to sign common cooperation agreements.
A week later, the national president received his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi, with whom he said he had ratified “what should be a common vision of a multipolar world.” With Iran, 25 cooperation agreements were signed during Raisi’s Latin American tour, which later took him to Nicaragua and Cuba.
