The mandatory proof of life was suspended, as a measure to prevent contagion by covid-19, but was required again as of October 2021.
According to the Department of Management of the Ministry of Economy, to carry out the proof of life, retirees, pensioners and amnesty must appear in person at a bank branch where they receive payment, with an identification document with photo.

It is also possible to perform the digital life test. For this it is necessary to have the biometrics (digital identification) already registered at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) or at the National Traffic Department (Denatran).
On the cell phone, it is necessary to install the gov.br application, through which facial validation is performed. Monitoring the status of the proof of life, as well as obtaining your proof and notifications to remind you of the deadline for completion are carried out by the SouGOV.BR application, developed exclusively for active employees, retirees and pensioners of the Federal Public Administration.
Regardless of the channel in which the proof of life was carried out, the beneficiary can check his/her situation through the SouGOV.BR application, available in the Google Play and App Store stores, or through the computer, accessing www.gov.br/sougov.
