Resident doctors of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) who demand full payment of their Christmas bonus denounced that they have suffered reprisals from managers of the North and South central hospitals in Mexico City, after the protests they carried out and the partial work stoppage that began a few years ago. one week.

Yesterday, a commission of young people held a meeting at the Federal Labor Center with authorities from the Interior and Labor secretariats, and after long hours of discussion they signed a minute in which they agreed to a meeting with Pemex executives on the 28th. with the commitment to propose clear proposals and to solve the conflict, said René Palacios and Miguel Estrada, representatives of the residents, in an interview.

The young people, who formed the National Front of Pemex Resident Doctors, which groups more than 850 affected, rejected that they have restarted work. the movement continuesthey maintained.

One of the interviewed doctors –who asked to withhold his name– accused that he also they intimidated colleagues that they are on vacation, because the head of education requested, through WhatsApp messages to those responsible for residence in each area, to suspend that benefit.

The protesters pointed to Humberto Cota, head of the aforementioned headquarters, as the person who has constantly been threatening us. Regarding the fact that Pemex argued that the Christmas bonus was prorated during the year, the residents assured that they were not notified of this and that initially was handled as a salary increase.

The residents of different hospitals in the country should have received between 12,000 and 15,000 pesos in bonuses, but they were only paid 2,500, despite the fact that the benefit is stipulated in the fourth clause in the contracts signed last March and of which this newspaper has a copy.
