Restrict the passage of oversized cargo vehicles nationwide

As of 12:00 noon on Friday, December 30, 2022, until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, the transfer of oversized cargo was restricted nationwide.

This was announced by the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT), when announcing that this decision was made for road safety, mobility and in accordance with the hours that massive vehicle displacements are expected into the interior of the country due to the holidays of end of the year.

The ATTT indicated that only those cargo vehicles that do not exceed the following measurements may transit: 2.50 meters wide, 20 meters long and 4.15 meters high. The rest of the cargo vehicles such as dump trucks, tankers and vans, may circulate regularly and without further restriction.

They warned that those drivers who are caught violating the regulations, their vehicles will be removed from the roads and penalized with infraction No. 25 of the Traffic Regulations.
