Fernando Gamarra to take over as head of the Municipality of Cerro Largo
The General Director of Works and First Deputy of José Yurramendi is going through a brief period of leave that will keep him away from activity until the beginning of next week.
Upon his return, he will dedicate himself fully to the completion of several projects in his area and also to planning what will be the assumption of the highest political position of departmental management.
“We took a few days off because every time José has left, except on two occasions, we have been in charge of the Municipality. We had a license to take out, so we left from approximately January 3rd to January 12th.” counted Fernando Gamarra to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.
“Then we will get fully involved, first in the works issue, in management, to conclude some projects that we have open. Afterwards we will continue talking with the Mayor because between February 8 and 10 he will leave office to seek re-election. “We want to work a little on the transition” he pointed out.
“We are going to assume knowing what we are going to do, with our own imprint, continuing with the planned works because first of all we want to take care of the taxpayer’s money” he emphasized. “The taxpayer pays taxes and then sees them returned in works. That is why we will continue with the projects, with the cleaning of the city, with the lighting and also undertaking some of our own work in those 6 months that we will be in charge of the departmental administration.” said.
“Although the period is short, only one semester, a lot can be done in six months. To that we must add all the desire that one has to assume because we continue with the idea of running for Mayor in 2030” he remembered.
“What is coming would be a step beyond what we have already been in charge of the Municipality for short periods” specified the Leader of List 16 of the National Party.
“We are waiting for the day calmly, but with great seriousness and responsibility as it should be. “We are going to finish all work that is open but also doing things that will represent improvements for the department” he stressed.
