The Brazilian Navy has extended, until the morning of this Tuesday (4), a surf warning for the coast of Rio de Janeiro. According to the Operations Center of the city of Rio de Janeiro, waves of 2.5 to 3 meters in height are expected.

Surfs have been hitting the coast of Rio de Janeiro for a few days now. This weekend, for example, the sea invaded the runway on Avenida Delfim Moreira, on the edge of Leblon, in the south of the capital, which caused the road to be closed.
In Niterói, big waves hit Itacoatiara beach over the last few days, attracting surfers to the place. The city hall itself announced the fact, calling its beach “The Brazilian Nazaré”, in allusion to the beach of gigantic waves from Portugal, and asking bathers to pay attention.
