Resistance, the first winner of the Clausura!

In a match that kicked off the Clausura 2022 tournament, Resistencia beat Sol de América this Thursday 2-1. Ronaldo Martínez and Fernando Escobar scored the goals of the sky-blue victory in the Jardines del Kelito.

Little time passed for the cast that officiated at the local in the Mburicaó neighborhood to take advantage of the match.

At 6 minutes, Ronaldo Martínez took advantage of the sanction of a penalty -reviewed and determined by the VAR- and overcame the opposition of the blue goalkeeper Luis Ojeda to make it 1-0.

Fernando Escobar, 15 minutes later (21′), appeared inside the rival area and scored the second goal for Roberto ‘Tiburón’ Torres’ team, first canceled for offside but later validated through a VAR check. Thus, the result was extended to 2-0.

Sol was shaken as the first period expired. The VAR was once again the protagonist when reviewing an action that ended up being sanctioned as a penalty, this time in favor of the Danzarín. The Argentine Cristian Duma, reinforcement from Sol, did not fail the execution and specified the visiting discount at 45 + 5 ‘.

In the second half, on the contrary, not much happened and the 2-1 remained until the end.

With this result, Resistencia begins the Clausura at the top of the table with its first 3 points, which also allow them to cut the streak of eight matches without victories that the Chacarita team accumulated in the final stretch of the Apertura.

Sol, meanwhile, had the debut of Pablo Guiñazú as coach but did not find the victory that he was denied seven games ago, adding his last performances in the previous championship.
