CALETON, Barahona.- The residents of this southern coastal town, organized into Neighborhood Councils, They paralyzed traffic since the early hours of this Friday, demanding the government to supply drinking water and other improvements.

According to the protesters’ versions, The community has been facing a lack of drinking water for thirty years. and the absence of an aqueducta situation they consider unsustainable.

They also say they will continue their struggle until the relevant authorities respond to their demands.
