“We are here because we want to demonstrate for all the injustice that they spent all day doing with our priest (Leonardo Urbina), all this was very staged, but hopefully in the eyes of God this organization is worth a lot,” declared a citizen who participated of the seedling.

During the preliminary hearing that took place this Wednesday, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that the religious committed such acts against the minor on at least three occasions. Substitute attorney Sandra Dinarte ruled that “the accusation meets the formal requirements. It is clear, it presents articulated ideas, it is precise. Through deception and the trust he had with the family, he took advantage of the situation, therefore, the accusation is admitted.

After the arrest of the priest, a neighbor of the parish commented to the media that Urbina received an appointment to appear at the Boaco police station, with the aim of responding to an alleged complaint. However, at about 7:30 am, the police brought him to answer for the accusation.

“All the people who have played this game, God is going to punish them, because that is really not how they are painting it, everything they have said is very false, that is why we want freedom for our priest”, said another citizen during the protest.

Substitute judge Yolanda Pía Fletes Cano issued preventive detention against the priest and scheduled the initial hearing for next July 21.

According to the accusation presented by the Prosecutor’s Office, the priest took advantage of the friendship he had established with the girl’s mother since 20216 to approach the minor until he subjected her to the alleged sexual abuse, which according to what occurred between December 2021 and April 2021. this year.
