A total of 6 crew members and the Gamga Mar II fishing vessel were rescued and brought to safety thanks to the coordinated work with the Coast Guard Command of the Bolivarian Navy and the transfer station of the FSO Nabarima Ship.

The information was provided by the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces, on its Twitter account @inea_venezuela, where it highlighted that the fishing boat was safely placed next to the transfer station.

He stressed that after controlling the damage presented, it was transferred to the International Fishing Port of Güiria, achieving the rescue of the 6 crew members.

Melba ship saves 9 of 16 shipwrecked

In other Tweets, Inea announced that in the Port of La Guaira it received the Panamanian-flagged bulk carrier Melba, which rescued 9 of the 16 shipwrecks from the ship Cetus that capsized 130 nautical miles northwest of Aruba.

He stressed that the unfortunates were in the waters of the Venezuelan exclusive economic zone, for which the rescue actions were carried out in conjunction with the Coast Guard Command of the Bolivarian Navy.

Similarly, with the Consulates of Cuba and the Dominican Republic, because of the 9 survivors, 3 are Venezuelans, 1 Cuban and 5 Dominicans.
