Requirement of vaccination card for massive events postponed

President Iván Duque announced that from December 14, 2021 it will be mandatory the requirement of the card to enter discotheques, bars, cinemas, fairs and other places of leisure, which must be with the complete schematic.

“Given the important rate of vaccination in the country, we have decided to postpone the application for the full scheme card until December 14; means that only one dose will be ordered. Mass vaccination, free is the best tool to protect ourselves “said the president.

Initially, the measure would take effect from December 1; however, the government decided to postpone it for two weeks.

The measure contemplates that the document evidencing the immunization must be presented to enter public or private events that involve massive attendance, as well as bars, gastrobars, cinemas, discos, dance venues, concerts, casinos, bingo halls and leisure activities, as well as sports venues, churches, amusement and theme parks, museums and fairs.

This weekend, through resolution 1913 of 2021, The Ministry of Health extended the health emergency, due to the covid pandemic, until February 28 of next year.

(They extend health emergency in Colombia).

It is clear that the use of masks, social distancing and some other self-protection measures will continue to be mandatory. In other words, the current provisions will be maintained.

On the other hand, This resolution must be accompanied by a public order decree, which will be issued next week by the Ministry of the Interior, and which establishes the measures to be taken in the framework of the emergency..
