The Republican senator for the state of Ohio, Bernie Moreno, affirmed that the newly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, upon taking office will work with the Venezuelan Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, since he will be the one who will win the elections of the last July 28.
“He (Donald Trump) is going to work with (Nicolás) Maduro because he is the one who is going to take office next week,” Moreno said.
Likewise, the conservative politician, in an interview that he offered to a media outlet and that was disseminated through social networks, recognized that the United States has no interference in the decisions that people make when electing their leaders.
“At the end of the day it is not the United States that chooses who are the leaders of these countries, they had an election and people say it was not fair, but at the end of the day the interests of the United States are to stop drug trafficking, and that they receive back to all the illegal Venezuelans who are in this country, to do business with the United States and stop doing business with Russia and China,” he highlighted.
It is important to highlight that on January 10, the Venezuelan Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, will be sworn into office again, before the National Assembly, in accordance with the provisions of article 231 of the constitution, after being re-elected in the elections of the Last July 28, 6,408,844 votes.
