Members of the Republican Party arrived at the Palacio de La Moneda on Monday to demand that the Minister of Social Development, Jeanette Vegathe list of political prisoners in Chile after her statements on a television program, where she was pressured to resign if she does not have that list.
This Sunday night, the Secretary of State pointed out in Zero tolerance from CNNChile that “there are political prisoners, without a doubt, and I can give examples: the boys who are currently in preventive detention since the (social) outbreak, who have even been in prison for two years, if they are not political prisoners, what are they? in practice they have not been prosecuted”.

Finally, he emphasized that “if there are political prisoners, you cannot throw the stone knowing the damage it causes and then hide your hand and back down. This was not a mistake, these are the same statements that we have seen from other ministries.”
