This Monday, February 6, the deadline for the Electoral Service (Servel) to register the lists of constitutional advisers, who will be elected on May 7, closes. Before the date, the Republican Party registered in the Servel the list of candidates with whom it will participate in the next election.
The party’s pro-secretary and candidate for counselor, Macarena Bravo, argued that a third of the applicants are people under 35 and with broad representation of regions.
“The letters to the Constitutional Council of the Republican Party are young, professional, from regions, a third under 35 years of age,” Bravo explained to Biobío Chile.
“We believe that this process needs very capable people who have not only excelled in the public and private world, but also who know the reality of Chileans very well,” he added.
Chile Let’s go
Meanwhile, the list of Chile Vamos, has not yet fully defined who will be the candidates that would go on the list of the pact.
The president of Evópoli, Gloria Hutt, affirmed that there have been changes and last minute movements but that the registration in the Servel will take place on Monday.
“It’s a dynamic process that’s always in motion,” Hutt said.
“When one of the parties makes a change it usually affects the decisions of other parties and on Monday we will finish the registration of candidates in Servel,” he added.
The president of Renovación Nacional, Senator Francisco Chahuán, pointed out that among the candidacies there will be leaders proposed by the Democratic party in formation.
To that he added that from Chile Vamos they will seek to “anchor themselves in the political center.”
