Republican legislator proposes to declare a holiday on June 14, the day of the birth of Donald Trump

Representative Claudia Tenney (Republican for New York) presented a bill that would establish the birthday of President Trump, on June 14, as a public holiday.

Trump’s birthday establishment law and Flag Day proposes the recognition of both Trump’s birthday and Flag Day, which is held on June 14, as federal public holidays.

“Just as George Washington’s birthday is coded as a federal holiday, President Trump’s birthday should also be held to recognize him as the founder of the Golden Age of the United States,” Tenney wrote on social platform X on Monday.

In a separate publication, shared after he presented Trump’s birthday bill, Tenney said: “No modern president has been as fundamental to our country as Donald J. Trump.”

“Today, I presented legislation to designate Trump’s birthday and the day of the flag as a federal holiday, ensuring that President Trump’s contributions to American greatness are consecrated forever in the law,” he added.

This bill marks the last attempt by Republican legislators to commemorate Trump and some of his “United States first” pronouncements.

Last month, representative Addison McDowell (RN.C.) presented legislation to change the name of the Washington Dulles International Airport in honor of Trump.

McDowell proposed the bill along with Guy Reschanthaler representatives (R-PA.), Brian Jack (R-G.), Riley Moore (rw.va.) and Brandon Gill (R-Texas).

The representative Buddy Carter (Republican for Georgia) also presented a new bill last week that proposes to change the name of Greenland to “red, white and blue earth”, at a time when President Trump seeks to acquire the island territory.
