Reported shootings in El Chorillo during demonstrations

A group of protesters, who closed several access streets to the village of El Chorrillo, faces members of the National Police who went to the scene due to reports of vandalism in a local supermarket.

During the clashes, residents of the area have reported the use of firearms by the protesters and tear gas by the police.

Faced with this situation, the Ombudsman Eduardo Leblanc reported through his Twitter account that “what happens in Patio Pinel and El Chorrillo does not report being part of the groups in the dialogue”, which means that these demonstrations are not represented. by none of the members that make up the negotiations established in the province of Coclé and Veraguas.

Due to these out-of-control confrontations and demonstrations, the owners of commercial establishments from 17th Street proceeded to close their doors and lock themselves up together with their staff.
