An explosion at the Hotel Caribbean, located on Prado and Colón, Old Havana, was confirmed this Monday morning by several official Cuban media.
An injured person was reported, who was receiving care at the Calixto García hospital, while the other guests were evacuated, reported the caribbean channel on their social networks.
There was no significant structural damage and the situation was under control, but access had been blocked due to the danger of landslides.
Forces of the fire department, public health and the police act in the place. A gas leak is presumed, but the information was yet to be confirmed by reporters from OnCuba in the place.
