Santo Domingo Este. – The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that as of tomorrow, Thursday, September 11, the overpass of the equestrian avenue will be open to vehicular traffic, after having undergone a comprehensive renewal process that returns security and confidence to the thousands of drivers who use it daily.
The intervention consisted of a reconstruction of the bridge with the objective of guaranteeing its durability. The work contemplated the replacement of the structure that makes up the output and entrance ramp from Santo Domingo and Boca Chica. A retaining wall for greater security was installed, the turns were improved and a lane of incorporation was included to Las Américas Avenue. Additionally, new protection and removal railings of the environment were installed.

This work not only responds to the solution of a timely situation, but is part of a comprehensive plan for the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of bridges and roads throughout the country, aimed at raising the road safety and quality of life of citizens.
The overpass of the equestrian will contribute significantly to the decongestion of traffic in the area and improving connectivity between important sectors of Santo Domingo Este.
