This Tuesday the 21st the -now- former deputy-mayor, Renzo Reggiardoswore like new mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (MML) after the resignation of Rafael López Aliaga (RLA) a week ago.
As recalled, on the 13th of this month, the last possible day, RLA resigned from his position at the head of the commune to continue with his presidential aspirations for the 2026 general elections.
Now, the new mayor of the Peruvian capital received his credentials in an event that was attended by ministers, congressmen, district mayors and representatives of various branches of the State.
They attended the President of the Republic, José Jeríthe now presidential candidate for Renovación Popular, Rafael López Aliaga, holders of ministerial portfolios and other authorities of the state apparatus.
The political event, which took place at the Municipal Theater of Lima, witnessed the first speech of Renzo Reggiardo as the new mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima after the resignation of RLA.
