A few hours before the end of February, Argentines are preparing to assume the increases of several products and services that will take effect from March, which will affect your finances.
In addition to the increments previously announced for next month, February inflation is expected to close again close to 4%so expect more increases In the next weeks.
In this sense, for March it is expected increases in the rates of gas, energy, rents, prepaid and private schools among others, which will have a direct impact on the pockets of citizens.
In relation to rents, the increase is set according to the Rental Contracts Index (ICL) published daily by the Central Bank (BCRA), in which it is estimated that next month they will reach a 53% rise.
For its part, in private schools, where the school year is about to start, from next month parents will have to pay 17% more for their children’s education.
Regarding gas rates, the Government authorized an increase of between 19% and 20% for households, and 15% for small and medium-sized companies. Although the adjustment will be made in March, the payment will be reflected with the April tickets.
The electricity rate will also have an average increase of 22% in the users of the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) as of March, according to the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE).
The prepaid will have increases in March and April
The Government authorized prepaid medicine companies to have two price updates in the coming months (March and April).
The total rise will be 12%, so from March 1st an increase of 6% will be set and the remaining percentage will be set in April.
This would be the first increase of the year established by the sector, since although there was a 9% increase in February, this corresponded to the last increase in 2021.
