How to access the rental subsidy of $854,100?

In 2025 a rental subsidy of up to $854,100 per month, intended to support people who are in the process of acquiring their own home. This benefit covers up to 90% of the rental fee for a new or used home for a maximum of 24 months.

The subsidy, equivalent to 60% of the 2025 minimum wage ($1,423,500), is aimed at families that prove that they are paying the initial payment for a social housing. Its purpose is to facilitate the path to home ownership, providing financial support while the purchase process is finalized.

Requirements to apply

1. Online application form: It must be completed with personal data and that of the family group.
2. Family group identity documents
   • For adults: citizenship card or immigration card.
   • For children under 7 years of age: civil registration (Colombian) or valid passport (foreigners).
   • For people over 7 years old: identity card or immigration card.
3. Income certification:
   • Dependents: Labor certification issued by the company, valid for no more than 30 days.
   • Independents: Income certificate signed by a public accountant, accompanied by the accountant’s documentation.
   • Contractors: Current service provision contract or income certification by the contracting entity.
4. Documents related to housing:
   • Promise of sale, fiduciary order or contract linking to a trust.
   • Certification from the construction company on the contributions made.
   • Negotiation payment plan.
5. Marital status: Depending on the situation (single, married, in a common law union or separated), documentation proving marital status must be presented.
