This is the champion in the XXX International Marathon of Medellín Colombia, Naomi Maiyo (35), a native of Kenya, has a personal record of 2:30:09, Rodgers Ondati took sixth place in the famous Rotterdam 2022 Marathon and her best mark personal is 2:09:40. A similar mark has Kenya Erick Monyenye (37) with 2:09:44, who took eighth place in the Mexico City International Marathon.
Completing the list of African athletes: Azmeraw Bekele Molalign (V), Mulu Seboka Seyfu (D), Temesgen Tsegaye Nega (V), Gebrehiwet Kifilit Frezgi (V), Yonas Zerihun Yirga (D), Grebetatyos Minase Hadush (V), Birhan Tadesse Yirga (D) all natives of Ethiopia and train at 2550 meters above sea level. Among the foreign competitors there is also a representative from South America, the Ecuadorian, Fernando Moreno, who took fifth place in the Andes International Marathon last season.
