A few days ago, the national scandal was that the fugitive owner of the Sarratea house had been listed as deceased in the RENIEC records, however, a few days later, he was listed as alive again.
The scandal grew when several figures from Peruvian politics, such as the nation’s prosecutor or the elected mayor of Lima, appeared in a similar capacity, since they were listed as deceased, despite the evidence to the contrary.
However, these would not only be isolated cases, since RENIEC has similar events, one of which was recalled during a last press conference offered by the program Together in Huancavelica.
Miriam Huayra Huarcaya, territorial head of the aforementioned program, affirmed that two years ago, in the district of Acoria, the same thing happened to a mother, she suddenly stopped receiving the money that corresponded to her for the Together program, when she complained, she confirmed what which was not expected, which was listed as deceased in the civil registry.
It should be noted that this program is linked to the RENIEC database, so immediately, he stopped receiving the payment for said program.
“This case was approximately two years ago, we had a case, by RENIEC’s comparisons we identified that this owner of the home had died, however, due to our immediate attention to this home, RENIEC was managed to issue a resolution that accredited that She was alive and with that resolution, this home was incorporated (into the program) again,” said Huayra Huarcaya.
He added: “I imagine that they are errors that the same institution has had, yes, it happened two years ago and we solved it at the end of a month, we have prevented the situation from affecting the home, it has been processed in a timely manner”
