This January 1, Rafael López Aliaga was sworn in as mayor of Lima for the period 2023-206. In this context, René Gastelumendi analyzed the message that the head of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (MML) spread on his social networks.
“Unfortunately, he was also a bit hostile to the people who continue to support Pedro Castillo, but hey, they are his customs and we hope he does well. Here we do not want Rafael López Aliaga to do badly, because what we want here is the common good. Beyond the discrepancies that one may have with certain ideological aspects and public policies, we hope that it goes well for you”, the journalist stated.
He also recalled the promises made by the current mayor during his election campaign. In this sense, he mentioned the following: construction of an urban cable car system that will connect San Juan de Lurigancho with Comas, creation of the Armed Forces reservist system, elimination of the black market for cell phones, among others.
Finally, he referred to the statements by López Aliaga about the wall that divides La Molina from Villa María del Triunfo. During his pronouncement, the leader of Renovación Popular stated that the MML respects the ruling of the Constitutional Court.
