Remittances to Mexico outline a historical record

During the month of November they reached Mexico 4,801 million dollars for remittances with which they added 31 consecutive months with growth -since May 2020- of the money that arrives in the country from the countrymen, according to the report Migration and remittances from BBVA Research.

López Obrador recognized the quality of the work of all migrants in the world.

BBVA estimates that Mexico will end 2022 with $58.4 billion, while in 2021 the country received $51.568 billion.

For this year, BBVA pointed out in the report Migration and remittancesit is expected that remittances “will continue to increase but at a more moderate pace”, in a scenario in which the world economy could slow down its growth.

BBVA also estimates that they will increase 2.7% worldwide, while Latin America and the Caribbean will be the region that shows the greatest dynamism with growth of 4.7%.
