From this October 5the lanes for private vehicles of the Caracas Avenuebetween the 57th and 67th streetswill be closed in order to provide continuity to the works of the Line 1 of the Bogotá Metro.
This closure facilitates the circulation of buses TransMileniotaking into account that preliminary works are being carried out in the central lanes, to later give way to the construction of the viaduct.

To inform users of this route and facilitate their mobility, there will be staff of the Civil Agents Group, Guide Group and the Culture for Mobility team of the District Mobility Secretariat. Additionally, the corridor will have the respective detour signage to guide drivers.
Below are the detours enabled for private vehicles:
North – south detours
If you travel along Caracas Avenue from north to south, you must take Carrera 19 at Calle 80, then the race 19A to 61st street where following the signs you can take Highway 18 and continue this way towards the south of the city.
If you move through the 80th street from west to east can take the race 24 south to reach the transversal 25 and thus continue along this road towards the south of the city.
(Further: Nearly 3.3 million passengers will travel by plane during the school break).
South – north detour
If you want to go from the south to the north of the city, at 53rd Street you must take the eighth race until you reach the 67th streetat this point and following the signs, you can take the Novena road and thus continue your journey towards the north of the city.
Another option is at 53rd Street, take Carrera 17 north to 74th Street where you can turn right and then take Carrera 15 to the north of the city.

Detour to the west
Vehicles traveling along Calle 64 and heading west may take Carrera 13 and at Calle 60 turn right until Carrera 17. There you should turn left onto 64th Street and continue west..

Please note
– Pedestrian passage will be guaranteed at traffic lighted intersections and along the corridor.
– The TransMilenio system will continue to travel along Caracas Avenue.
– The east – west and vice versa crossings of the av. Caracas streets 57, 60, 63, 66 and 67 will continue to operate normally.
– The intersection of 64th Street and Caracas Avenue will be closed.
– TransMilenio will continue traveling along Caracas Avenue. We remind you that the Flores-Arenadina and Calle 57 stations will be enabled.
