The remains of Police Second Lieutenant Alain Álvarez Flores, assigned to the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (Felcn), who died from very serious injuries suffered when he was run over on October 26 in the Tropics of Cochabamba, were transferred to Cochabamba. .

His relatives decided to move him to the capital of the valley to watch over his remains and give him a Christian burial. A Bolivian Air Force FAB ship from the Red Devils unit took charge of the transfer from Santa Cruz de la Sierra where he died.

He belonged to the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (Felcn). He was hit by an individual who was traveling in his motor vehicle linked to drug trafficking, when he was trying to flee and evade anti-drug controls in Chapare. The driver was arrested and sent to jail for justice.

The Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo, confirmed the news through his social networks. He stated that “we regret to report the death of Second Lieutenant, Alain Álvarez Flores, member of the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking, who on October 26 was run over in the Tropics of Cochabamba. “He was at the Kamiya clinic.”

After being run over, Second Lieutenant Álvarez was transferred by helicopter from the Diablos Rojos Task Force, from the Cochabamba Tropics to Santa Cruz de la Sierra to receive care at the Kamiya clinic. According to Del Castillo, the uniformed He remained in a coma and underwent several surgeries. in an attempt to save his life.

However, the doctors’ efforts were in vain. The officer’s death caused consternation among his family and comrades.

The General Command of the Police, through its commander, General Augusto Juan Russo Sandoval, expressed its deep and heartfelt condolences for the death of Second Lieutenant Álvarez, a graduate of the 2021 class of the National Police Academy, ANAPOL. After the wake in Cochabamba, the Police will fire him with honors for having offered his life doing his duty in the fight against the scourge of drugs.
