Jorge Roig, member of the Board of Directors of the International Organization of Workers (ILO), listed this Tuesday, April 26, the three priorities to be taken into account during the tripartite dialogue between Venezuela and the ILO.
It is about the release of political prisoners, the return of land to the leaders of Fedecamaras and advancing in the discussion of minimum wages as a whole. This was pointed out by Roig to the Circuit Hits.
tripartite dialogue
The information was released after the first day of a meeting between the government of Nicolás Maduro, employers and workers with the ILO. In this sense, Roig stressed that the discussions could begin with the aspects in which the different actors involved agree, such as the discussion of the minimum wage.
He also assured that tripartite dialogue is an important mechanism for democracy. “It’s an intrinsic value of democracy, so recovering that value yesterday was very important,” he said.
He also highlighted the need to establish a list of priorities. “It would be naive to fix 20 years of damage in one day,” he said.
Similarly, he emphasized the need for progress so that the population can trust these meetings.
