Relax the PRI most norms for the renewal of your political council

The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) is emerging to renew its National Political Council, which is statutory is the second management body of this political force, only below its National Assembly, in a process in which, in addition to reducing the amount of its members almost in half, it will allow exceptions to their own rules to enroll to the fair newly affiliated persons.

During the Assembly of tricolor Made in July of last year, in which it was endorsed that national and state leaders can relegate themselves in their positions, that partisan body also made its political council more compact to achieve a “faster and more efficient decision -making”, in addition to saving resources.

With the above, that instance went from having at least 588 members to only 330 with the new integration, not counting some of the spaces designated in this organ, including those destined for the governors, of which there are currently only two of the PRI.

In addition to local leaders and sectors of the party, the Council is made up of a group that is defined by the direct vote of the militants. Until last year there were 160 posts of such, but were reduced to 128. The national leadership issued a call to vote on October 5, but established an exception to its own statutes.

Although to be a political advisor it is indicated that they must have at least five years of militancy, the Internal Process Commission approved that, “given the urgency of maximizing the inclusive participation” of young people, “in the event that some young militant chooses to join the position of national political counselor in his capacity as owner or substitute and not to have the age required in the call.

This exception will also apply for the 32 designated spaces in the Political Council for a local deputy or deputy.
