The Colorado Party celebrated 135 years of its foundation and there are a series of conjectures about its true contribution to the democratic history of Paraguay, only in the last 70 years the great dilemmas and mistakes that this political group has incurred, leads it to having to assume a self-critical vision much greater than the one celebrated last Sunday with bombs and with affirmations of its political leaders. Today it is fragmented, but that will end again in the republican embrace after the December elections, what remains to be analyzed is, what is the historical debt of this political group with the population in the general sense, with dignity in the treatment in public hospitals, with the level of education that we have been able to have during his long political reign, and fundamentally, with that conception that it is a party linked to one of the greatest cancers in our society, which is corruption. If all these things could at least be a reason for concern and self-criticism for the Colorados, a large part of the road would be paved and we could say that it is a political group that has a clear destiny in the 21st century, otherwise, it will seek to survive with the mechanisms that really sink society much more, such as patronage and the corruption that surrounds its actors, is the time not only for self-criticism but also for the relaunch of this centennial political group in Paraguay.
