The Llanos Human Rights Foundation (Fundehullan) reported, this Saturday, November 2, that relatives of young people detained in the Tocorón prison carried out a protest to demand the freedom of their relatives.

The information was published through the foundation’s account in They urged the authorities to comply with article 43 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which establishes: “The State will protect the lives of people who are deprived of their freedom.”

The protest aimed to demand the freedom of the detainees. Family members expressed concern for the health and well-being of the young people.

During the demonstration, participants made an urgent call to the authorities to ensure that the human rights of detainees are respected, emphasizing the need for adequate medical care and decent living conditions in detention centers.
