Mayra Boscán reported that when she consulted the Ministry of Penitentiary Services she was informed that her son, the motorcycle taxi driver Eudi José Andrade, “does not appear in any database.” The public defender and the judge have only confirmed that “he is alive and at the Rodeo”, but have not given him further details of the case.
Mayra Boscán, mother of young Eudi José Andrade, reported that after almost 10 months of his detention his whereabouts are still unknown, despite the fact that lawyers have informed her that he is being held in the Rodeo I Judicial Confinement Center, in the state of Miranda.
«I still have no news about where Eudi is. He’s supposedly at Rodeo I, but I go every weekend and they tell me the same thing: that he’s not there, that he’s never been there. I have looked for it in Rodeo II and III, and in both they tell me that it is not there either, that it is in I, which is an extension of the Dgcim, but I still have no news,” said Boscán.
Boscán reported that, upon consulting the Ministry of Penitentiary Services, they informed him that his son “does not appear in any database.”
«It is as if Eudi did not exist. And that increases my concern,” he said.

The public defender and the judge have only confirmed that Andrade “is alive and at the Rodeo”, but have not given him further details of the case.
Eudi Andrade was arrested on the night of January 29 in the Altamira area (Chacao municipality, Miranda state), by alleged officials of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim), while he was giving a young woman a ride on his motorcycle from the Jardines de El Valle.
On February 21, Boscán was informed that his son was going to be prosecuted for alleged extortion and kidnapping. He has also not received a response to requests for proof of life or medical evaluations.
«I have asked for a certificate of life, I have asked for medical evaluations and nothing. They tell me that we have to wait, that the list in Senamecf is long and that we have to wait for them to feel like doing it. But I remain the same, with faith in God and searching from one side to the other,” he expressed.
