The relatives of the defendants in the octopus case, whose preventive detention was changed by judge Deiby Peguero to house arrest, began to arrive at the penitentiary center where their relatives are imprisoned.
This Thursday it is expected that the defendants alexis medinaFernando Rosa and two other defendants leave the San Cristóbal Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR-XX), to be transferred by prison officers to their respective homes, where they will remain confined.

A daughter of Fernando Rosa, former president of the Patrimonial Fund of Reformed Companies (Fonper), appeared at the prison after 10 in the morning, which she entered without major obstacles.
Last Monday, Judge Peguero, of the Seventh Investigating Court of the National District, understood that it was appropriate to cease the preventive detention that the defendants are serving, who have been in jail for almost two years, for exceeding the time contemplated by the criminal procedural regulations for this measure of coercion.
It ordered that these defendants continue their judicial process under house arrest, using pagers and prevented from leaving the country without judicial authorization. In addition, they had to pay an economic guarantee.
Now, for this case, only one of the 27 defendants is serving prison, while others will be under house arrest, one with periodic presentation, and others in pure and simple freedom.
Carlos Montes de Oca will remain alone in prison, after the judge imposed preventive detention on him at the beginning of the month, after being declared in absentia for not attending the preliminary hearing of this process despite being duly summoned.
