The arrival of the pandemic undoubtedly caused multiple changes and variations in many jobs both in Colombia and in the rest of the world, employees had to adapt to new ways of performing and carrying out their work tasks.
Telecommuting or working from home, for example, has been a help to carry out many jobs without the need to leave your own residence or be in an office.
However, not all companies can adapt to this modality, as this is determined by the type of market in which they are located.
In that order of ideas, an insurance company called Mercer Marsh Benefits dedicated itself to carrying out a study that had the purpose of knowing the feelings of employees after the pandemic and the effect that the different work alternatives that have been implemented have had on them.
The curious thing is that it was revealed that Colombia is the country with the highest work stress in Latin America.
57% of Colombian employees suffer from work stress
According to the study that was carried out with more than 14,000 employees from various industries, the conditions of work well-being were evaluated globally.
Thus, throwing a total of 57% of employees who suffer work stress are located in Colombia.
Employers who provide meaningful support to all of their employees are helping to create a more resilient and loyal workforce, which in turn improves company performance, the study says.
They add that it is important for the employer to know the state of mental health of the employees, the role they play in each job and the emotional exhaustion they have.
