Rejala presented a project that reduces costs of the ANDE rate

Carlos Rejala, deputy for Hagamos, unsuccessfully tried to present a bill that establishes 20% reductions in the costs of the rate of the National Electricity Administration (ANDE). The impediment was that in today’s Wednesday session, there was not the necessary quorum to deal with projects on tables (without opinions).

However, in the same way, he admitted the document through the entrance table and will request that it be included in the agenda of the next session.

He pointed out that due to the irresponsibility of a majority of his colleagues who did not arrive on time, a project is postponed that will benefit the pockets of all Paraguayans after 50 years.

The purpose of the project is to adjust the electricity rate at all its voltage levels and consumption groups directly and proportionally to the costs of generation, transmission, distribution and marketing. The first article stipulates that the losses of the electrical system will be limited to a maximum of 10% in the computation of costs. In no case can losses due to energy theft or system inadequacy that exceed 10% be transferred to the rate schedule applied to end users.

Likewise, it establishes that the electricity rate will be reduced proportionally to the generation costs and debt reduction of the Itaipu Binational Entity.
